Argus Donates $5,000 to Bermuda Housing Trust
Hamilton, Bermuda (November 9, 2016) – The Argus Group today announces a $5,000 donation to Bermuda Housing Trust, a non-profit organisation whose mission is to provide quality, affordable rental accommodation to Bermuda’s seniors who are in financial need, but also able to live independently. Bermuda Housing Trust is committed to enhancing the quality of seniors’ lives by providing residential communities in which to live at the most affordable prices possible.
The Argus donation will help Bermuda Housing Trust to prepare vacant properties for new tenants. In order to keep rents affordable for seniors, it is important that the apartments be ready before anyone moves in. Cleaning, painting, refurbishing and general maintenance of vacant apartments allows the smooth transition of new tenants.
John Barritt, Chairman of Bermuda Housing Trust, says: “We are very grateful for Argus’ support of Bermuda Housing Trust and the ageing population of Bermuda. There is an urgent and growing need for more homes and the Argus donation will help us to more efficiently update any vacant apartments so that we can better serve our seniors who need access to affordable housing units."
