Argus Group Joins Hands With KBB In Coastal Clean-Up
Hamilton, Bermuda (October 5, 2023) – The Argus Group is proud to announce its participation in the Keep Bermuda Beautiful (KBB) Coastal Clean-Up on September 29th, 2023, at Admiralty House. A total of 30 dedicated Argus employees volunteered their time and energy to support this impactful charity initiative that seeks to maintain the island’s beaches and coastal areas.
KBB has been hosting this annual coastal clean-up, a fixture on the charity's calendar, for more than 20 years. This initiative consistently draws volunteers and supporters from the local community to protect the island's unique ecosystem and preserve the beauty of Bermuda's natural environment.
The day brought enthusiasm and a shared sense of purpose as Argus employees scoured the coastline, collecting trash and debris that had been left behind or washed ashore. In total, an estimated 480 pounds of trash were collected, highlighting the significant impact of this collective effort on Bermuda's coastal environment. This clean-up not only serves to beautify the shoreline but also underscores the importance of responsible waste management and the preservation of Bermuda's natural beauty.
Traci Burgess, Executive Director for KBB, emphasised the value of corporate partnerships and community engagement. She said, "We appreciate the Argus Group's commitment to the environment and to the betterment of Bermuda. The impact of these partnerships and efforts of the volunteers who participate in KBB’s clean-up activities is tremendous. The annual Island-Wide Coastal Clean-Up is an opportunity to raise awareness on the importance of caring for our local marine environment, addressing Bermuda’s local litter problems and tackling the global ocean pollution crisis.”
